Daniel Grayling "Dan" Fogelberg was an American singer-songwriter, composer, and multi-instrumentalist, whose music was inspired by sources as diverse as folk, pop, rock, classical, jazz, and bluegrass music. He is perhaps best known for his 1981 hit "Leader of the Band", of which he stated "If there was one song in my lifetime I had been allowed to write it would have been that one."
